Born in 1983 in Heide, in the far north of Germany, René has been fascinated by investing for more than 25 years. What started as a personal passion became his profession, and eventually his mission.
He began his career with a banking apprenticeship at Sparkasse Mittelholstein and studied Business Administration with a focus on money and credit at Kiel University. He then spent seven years at the Netfonds Group, working in investment product management and supporting independent financial advisors, and co-founded the Institut für Finanz- und Nachfolgeplanung. At comdirect / Commerzbank, he was responsible for fund and ETF selection and digital investment formats, before leading the development of the BISON securities broker at Börse Stuttgart Digital.
With DTFH Deutsches Fondshaus, René brings these experiences together. DTFH acquires client portfolios and advisory businesses across Germany and helps advisors retire or step back in a financially sustainable way, while securing continuity for their clients.
What drives him: DTFH is family-run and grew out of advising family and friends. That origin still defines René’s approach today: full transparency, fair partnerships and trust that lasts for decades. His guiding principle is simple: advise every client the way you would advise your own family. For him, a successful succession is not a transaction but a promise to clients and to the advisors who built these relationships over a lifetime.
